“Mondo sommerso” (”The drowned world”) I think is a soft-electronic piece very suitable for musical themes in general and soundtracks.The synth layer in the background produces that particular atmosphere as of being into the abyss of the ocean, while the piano intervals create light spots or, if you prefer, far away echoes.The title is inspired by the novel of the great english fantasy writer James G. Ballard (“The Drowned World”) where he describes us an apocalyptic future (maybe not so far if we consider the recent climatic developments….) in which the humanity will have to refuge northward because of the ever increasing sea level and the high temperatures…..All things considered, I think that the title and the music be of some pertinence!
